Whistleblowers, Internal Investigations, and Compliance Design in the United States, Germany, and Austria
Partner David Simon will join a panel titled “The Significance of Whistleblower Protections and Incentives for Internal Investigations in the U.S. and Germany” during a daylong conference held at the University of Illinois. Joining him on the panel will be Soren Schomburg, of Knauer Law in Berlin, Germany, and fellow Concilium Global Compliance, Investigations & Defense Network member Felix Ruhmannseder, of WKK Law in Vienna, Austria. The panel will be moderated by Andrew Leipold, of the University of Illinois College of Law.
Other panels will include “The Significance of Whistleblowers and Internal Investigations for Compliance Design in the U.S. and Germany” and “Whistleblowers: Incentives or Protections? German and American Approaches in Comparative Perspective.” The conference has been organized by the Illinois Program in Comparative Criminal Procedure and Policing and co-sponsored by the European Union Center, the Illinois Program in Criminal Law, and the Illinois Program in Constitutional History.
