The mission of the Louisiana State Bar Association is to assist and serve its members in the practice of law, assure access to and aid in the administration of justice, assist the Supreme Court in the regulation of the practice of law, uphold the honor of the courts and the profession, promote the professional competence of attorneys, increase public understanding of and respect for the law, and encourage collegiality among its members. The purpose of the LSBA Health Law Section is to provide a forum for study and discussion of health law issues arising under the laws of the state of Louisiana and of the United States; to contribute to the continuing education of the attorney who practices in this field; to disseminate information regarding recent health law decisions of state and federal courts; and to encourage publication of legal writings on health law questions among the members of the Association and the legal academic community.
