Our start-up clients benefit from the in-depth knowledge and experience of Foley’s IP team and many are eligible to participate in our Patent Start-Up Program, which includes:
- An onsite assessment consisting of a half-day program designed to kickstart the company’s patent initiatives
- Patent training, including an overview of key issues pertaining to patent law, to help you incorporate a patent strategy into your company’s current business plan
- A review of the company’s history, business drivers, and competitive landscape, which enables us to provide strategic advice based on the current state of the company and the market
- A strategic product review, including counseling on a company’s valuable innovations and starting and or continuing the patent program
- Prescriptive guidance and strategies, including the reasoning and methods for filing for patent protection; what should and should not be protected via patents; and when or where to file patents
Patent Start-Up Program deliverables include:
- Report on the identified patent strategies
- Actionable plan for patent development
- Flexible budget to manage program costs
- Availability for follow-up IP counsel when needed
Enrollment in Foley’s Patent Start-Up Program is limited to early-stage companies. Fees are determined by project and are based upon a flat-fee-pricing model.
