China Business-Related Recognition

Our China-related transactions have received national and international acclaim for their significance and innovation. In 2013 and 2014, the firm’s representation of AgFeed Industries, Inc. (AgFeed) in the sale of its Chinese operations to Ningbo Tech Bank and AgFeed in its sale to Smithfield and TriOak Foods, Inc. have won multiple industry awards, including the 2014 Turnaround Management Association, Large Transaction of the Year, and The M&A Advisor International Awards, Agricultural Deal of the Year. The sale of AgFeed to Ningbo Tech Bank marked the first time a Chinese company bought another Chinese business in a 363 U.S. Bankruptcy Court sale.

Foley’s work with OxOnc Development LP, in its clinical development agreement for the PRC, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan with Pfizer, Inc. for the treatment of certain varieties of lung cancer, was awarded 2013 “Deal of the Year in the Healthcare/Life Sciences (between $10 million to $50 million)” by The M&A Advisor.
