Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Jennifer Hennessy is quoted in the Bloomberg Law article, “Health Industry Pressed to Protect Data as Cyberattacks Spread,” discussing the rising threat cyberattacks pose to health systems.
“Those attackers that try to deploy ransomware often focus on the health care industry, just because health care organizations do hold a lot of sensitive data about individuals, whether it’s demographic information, sensitive medical information, and of course, financial information,” Hennessy said.
