James De Vellis Appointed to WorldBoston Board of Directors

Foley & Lardner LLP Partner James De Vellis has been appointed to the board of directors at WorldBoston, a nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging the public in international affairs.

James is chair of the Boston office’s Intellectual Property Department. As a member of the firm’s electronics practice group, James focuses on sustainable patent portfolio development and related counseling to advance clients’ business objectives while acting as a check on competitors’ patents that encroach beyond their appropriate boundaries. He helps innovators secure both offensive and defensive patent protection, enabling them to operate in their intellectual space on their terms.
