Foley & Lardner LLP represented transportation management software provider Princeton TMX, a majority-owned subsidiary of Princeton Consultants, in its acquisition by The Stephens Group. The transaction is designed to accelerate Princeton TMX’s growth and the value it delivers to industrial shippers.
Founded in 2016 by Tim Minnich, Princeton TMX offers shippers a cloud-based transportation management system (TMS) that automates, streamlines, and optimizes transportation transactions. The results are increased efficiency, ease of workflow, and lower cost. Over 10,000 users in North America manage more than $5 billion of freight spend through the flexible modular TMS system.
The Stephens Group has nearly $2 billion of private equity assets under management. Since 2006, The Stephens Group has invested in 49 companies, targeting investment in industries across the U.S., including industrial and commercial products and services, specialty distribution, B2B food, technology infrastructure, and tech-enabled services.
The Foley deal team that advised Princeton TMX was led by Partner Christopher Cain and included Senior Counsel Jordan Bergmann and Associates Paige Moscow and Laura Burlot.
