Foley Represents Central Florida Health in Merger with University of Florida Health-Shands Hospitals and Clinics

Foley & Lardner LLP represented Central Florida Health in its merger with University of Florida Health Shands Hospital (UF Health). The deal, effective January 1, 2020, includes 660 beds and a new freestanding emergency room that will open later this month.

By incorporating Central Florida Health’s two hospitals – which will be renamed UF Health Leesburg and UF Health The Villages Hospital – into the UF Health system, the deal is expected to expand health care services to patients in the community.
