Uetz Comments on Automakers’ Efforts to Get Assembly Lines Rolling Again

Partner Ann Marie Uetz was quoted in a Bloomberg News article, “Automakers Will Need Months to Get Factories Back Up and Running,” about what it will take for idled automakers to get their assembly lines rolling again.
Uetz said suppliers typically need a week or two of advance work to support an automaker’s ability to restart its assembly line, but that child care needs and cash flow issues could complicate those efforts even further. Some suppliers are getting financial assistance from the federal government, she added, and some automakers are currently looking for other ways to help.
