Foley & Lardner Partners with Ronald McDonald House Charities in Florida on Home for the Holidays Campaign

Foley & Lardner is proud to support the Florida chapters of the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The firm has contributed over 600 hours of pro bono legal work and significant financial contributions from attorneys and staff to RMHC across the state this year. This week the firm began partnering with RMHC chapters across the state in its annual Home for the Holidays campaign. The firm is seeking donations of household items and gift cards requested by the local RMHC houses. Florida offices will be collecting these items through January 6th to help each of the houses feel a little more like home.
Items Needed Include:
- Gift cards of any amount (Publix, Target, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Gas, Grocery, iTunes/google for teens)
- Paper Products (Paper towels, paper plates, toilet paper, Kleenex)
- Plastic Utensils
- Trash Bags (13 gal/33 gal)
- Swiffer Wet/Dry pads
- Lysol Spray
- Disinfectant Wipes
- Ziploc plastic storage containers – larger sizes for evening meal leftovers
- Washing machine pods – free of dyes and perfumes
- Unscented Dryer Sheets
- K-cups: coffee, cocoa, tea, and cider
- Individually packaged snacks (chips, granola bars, cookies, protein bars, muffins, crackers, etc.)
- Individual or Single Serve boxes of breakfast cereal
- Deodorant (men and women)
- Shaving essentials
- Feminine hygiene products
- Baby Items (pacifiers, sippy cups, wipes, etc.)
- Standard size medium-firm to firm bed pillows
- White Towels/ Wash Cloths/ Hand towels
- White Queen Comforters
- Sets of pots and pans

Foley Secures Landmark Victory for Pro Bono Client in Federal and State Cases
Foley & Lardner LLP is proud to announce a series of significant pro bono victories on behalf of the San Francisco Zen Center, culminating in a clean sweep across both federal and state courts. The firm successfully defended the Zen Center in a case before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, resulting in a published decision that affirmed the application of the ministerial exception under the First Amendment. The Ninth Circuit’s ruling marks the first time the ministerial exception has been applied to a Buddhist temple in a federal Circuit Court decision, setting a significant precedent for non-Judeo-Christian religions.
