Partner Kimberly Dodd and her daughter, Treva, were profiled in the Wisconsin Golf magazine article, “Mother-Daughter Battle for the Ages as Kimberly (Reid) Dodd Returns to Competitive Golf after 24-Year Hiatus to Join 13-Year-Old Daughter Treva at State Women’s Open.”
Dodd, a former Wisconsin girls golf champion, recently returned to play competitive golf in the Wisconsin State Women’s Open at Stevens Point Country Club, where she competed against her 13-year-old daughter, Treva.
Dodd had not played competitively since 1995 but was encouraged to start again when her daughters began playing golf. She hopes her daughters learn, like she did, about taking the successes and failures of competitive golf in stride. “It’s a lot easier when you’re an adult and look back and have some perspective,” she said. “One is that – and I do think I had some perspective on this when I was a junior – even though, at one point, I wanted to play in college, I was never going to be good enough to play in the pros. You have to have that perspective; it’s a game and at some point it’s going to end.”
