Partner Jeff Soble was quoted in an Automotive World article, “Driven to distraction: Is there too much in-car tech?” about the effects of an influx of new technology in today’s cars and trucks.
Soble, a member of the Automotive Industry Team, said vehicles now contain so many safety feature alerts they can confuse drivers. “It is not uncommon anymore for someone to hear an alert in their car and not actually be sure which alert it is,” he said.
There currently are no standards governing such warnings, Soble added. “It would be nice if there were some standards, but I don’t see that happening any time in the near or even distant future,” he said.
