Partner Michael Bailey was quoted in an article in The Bond Buyer, “Opportunity Zones will be a boost to the muni market,” about the impact new IRS regulations covering investments in Opportunity Zones is expected to have on the municipal bond market.
Bailey said Opportunity Zones are not, per se, a bond program. “By definition, they deal with equity investments,” he said. “But in many respects, they do dovetail with public finance and I think there’s an important relationship to public finance.”
