The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel highlighted Foley’s strong ties to the city and state’s business community and the role it has played in helping foster economic growth in a feature article about the firm’s 175th anniversary, “As It Looks to the Future, Foley & Lardner Commemorates 175 Years of Shaping Milwaukee’s Economy.”
The article noted the breadth and depth of the firm’s nationwide practices including in industries and sectors like autonomous vehicles, cybersecurity and biotech.
“What if I want my kid to be 6-8 and a great athlete?” Jay Rothman said of the firm’s continuous push to navigate a constantly shifting landscape of law, risk and regulation. “Who owns the genetics? What are the policy and moral and ethical standards? Can you patent any of this stuff? Our folks are working on this stuff right now, on behalf of our clients across the country,” he said.
