Foley Global Risk Solutions Receives Wisconsin State Bar Association’s Innovation Award
Foley announced today that its Global Risk Solutions product offering received the Wisconsin State Bar Association’s Legal Innovator Award. The annual award showcases leading innovations that are changing the legal landscape and providing new ways to deliver legal services.
Foley GRS is the first-of-its-kind legal solution that provides businesses with a fully integrated Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance solution. The service is delivered through a web-based platform and combines traditional legal advice with cutting-edge technology to address the hallmarks of an effective anti-corruption compliance program identified by the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Created by Partner David Simon and Senior Counsel John Turlais, Foley GRS incorporates risk assessments, current and periodically updated policies and procedures, training for employees, regular communications and access to legal advice and counseling on FCPA issues that arise during the course of business operations.
The unique offering was designed with the idea that many companies, especially middle-market manufacturers with international operations, see the risks that the FCPA poses to their business, but do not have the resources or the desire to build an FCPA compliance function in-house. Foley GRS is designed to fill that gap and solve this very real business problem.
Foley partnered with Neota Logic, a leader in creating rules-based applications, to develop specific components of the GRS offering that deliver risk assessment and on-demand guidance.
