Foley announced today that Michael Gay is the new chair of the firm’s Litigation Department effective October 1, 2015. As chair, Gay will oversee and lead the strategic direction of the department, consisting of nearly 300 attorneys across Foley’s offices.
Gay has been at Foley for 20 years and is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and IP Litigation Practice Groups. He is an experienced trial lawyer, focusing his practice on a variety of commercial disputes, including restrictive covenant litigation, patent and trademark litigation, environmental litigation, health care litigation and contract disputes. In addition, Gay is the office managing partner of Foley’s Orlando office and has held the position since 2007.
He succeeds Michael Tuteur, who served as department chair since 2009.
