Vault Career Intelligence has recognized Foley in its 2013 Top 100 Law Firms guide, ranking the firm second in its report of The Best Law Firms in the Midwest. Foley moved up two places since Vault’s last report in 2012, where it ranked fourth.
To compile its list of The Best Law Firms in the Midwest, Vault asked associate attorneys at top U.S. law firms to complete an anonymous survey that allowed them to comment on and rank their own firms in terms of satisfaction, hours, compensation, treatment by partners, selectivity in hiring, pro bono and business outlook. From this data, Vault then calculated a number of “Quality of Life Rankings,” which were used to develop its list of top Midwest firms.
Foley was recognized by Vault for providing its associates with the opportunity to perform cutting-edge work while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Survey respondents noted that they appreciate the opportunity to do high-level and a wide variety of work for interesting clients. Additionally, they praised the firm’s partners as being very accessible and willing to provide guidance, feedback and direct client interaction, even for young associates.
This acknowledgment follows Foley’s recognition by the BTI Consulting Group as one of the top five of 300 firms on the 2012 BTI Client Service A-Team list for delivering exceptional client service. In addition, Chambers USA ranked 73 Foley attorneys as leading lawyers in their fields in its 2012 Chambers USA Client’s Guide while the Legal 500 recommended the firm in 20 practice areas in its 2012 U.S. rankings.
