Binford Discusses How Franchisors Should Approach Franchisee Bankruptcies to Protect Their IP

Partner Jason Binford published “The Bankruptcy Battle” in Intellectual Property Magazine about the need for franchisor’s to monitor and participate in a franchisee’s bankruptcy in order to protect its intellectual property. “Specifically, if a franchisor does not actively monitor and participate in the case, a franchisee bankruptcy case can wreak havoc on a franchisor’s valuable intellectual property rights,” he wrote.
