Richard Albert was a partner and labor and employment lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He has extensive experience in the labor arena, having represented numerous clients in a wide variety of labor related matters. His experience includes negotiating numerous collective bargaining agreements, handling a wide variety of labor arbitrations, representing employers on various representation and unfair labor practice matters before the NLRB, and providing labor related advice and counseling to many clients on all facets of labor law.
Richard also has experience representing employers in administrative proceedings before virtually all state and federal agencies relevant to labor and employment, and has handled a wide variety of civil litigation matters in both state and federal court. In addition, Richardt regularly advised clients on wage and hour concerns, personnel policy formulation and enforcement, as well as drafted and enforced executive employment agreements. He routinely provided general advice and counseling on matters such as disciplinary issues, layoffs, and other employee relations concerns. Richard was a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice and the Health Care Industry Team, and focused exclusively on labor and employment matters.
Richard served as labor counsel to numerous organizations, including the Hoag Memorial Hospital, Rideout Health System, Oak Valley Healthcare District, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center/Museum of Tolerance.
Affiliations
Richard was a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1979.

He also was an active participant in the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of California.

Richard was a frequent speaker on labor and employment topics before various local and state human resource organizations. Richard also wrote for a variety of national and regional publications.
