Steven B. Chameides is a business lawyer primarily engaged in corporate transactions, financing, and international trade, with wide-ranging experience advising U.S. and foreign-based clients on national and international business issues. He is a partner in Foley’s Transactions Practice representing both publicly owned and private companies on a wide range of transactions.

Steve regularly handles mergers, acquisitions, divestments, financings, joint ventures, and other business initiatives. His broad transactional practice encompasses such business sectors as manufacturing, technology, communications, health care, hospitality, shipping, aviation, real estate, and security. Much of his work has involved transnational projects, and he has served as legal and business advisor to state-owned enterprises.

In addition, Steve has extensive experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, and in matters relating to governmental regulation of business activity. Before joining Foley in its Washington D.C. office, Steve served as a JAG officer in the U.S. Navy, practiced law in New York City, and was a founding partner of a firm specializing in maritime and aviation law and business.

A private pilot and ocean sailor, Steve has been active in many charitable and civic organizations.
