Roma Lopes is an intellectual property litigator and counselor, focusing on IP protection and enforcement including all aspects of trademark portfolio development and protection, copyright protection, and overall IP strategy. She practices before both federal courts as well as administrative venues such as the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She is a member of the Trademark, Copyright, & Advertising practice group.
Prior to Joining Foley, Roma worked at a national law firm and gained experience litigating complex cases involving trademark and copyright infringement, trademark dilution, and tortious interference claims as well as overseeing global trademark portfolio strategies for clients across industries including sports, pharmaceuticals, private equity, entertainment, consumer retail, and food and beverage.
