Clearing the Haze: Marijuana and the Workplace

Cultural attitudes and legal rules regarding marijuana continue to shift rapidly. The prevalence of CBD oil in the marketplace is adding to the confusion. In order to attract and retain talent in an ever tightening jobs market while avoiding legal liability, it’s critically important that employers stay ahead of the curve on marijuana issues. This seminar will discuss the most recent court decisions and changes to state laws regarding both medical and recreational marijuana and will address best practices for drug testing, handling employees who are registered users of medical marijuana, and navigating federal contracting “drug-free workplace” rules.
