TexasBarCLE
Gardere litigation attorney Frederick W. Sultan IV will serve as course director for the Dec. 13 CLE, “LGBT Issues in Changing Times: What Every Texas Practitioner Needs to Know.” As part of the CLE program, he will moderate the panel discussion “LGBT Issues in Employment Law,” which will discuss Title VII, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s role in the new administration, case law updates, the Americans with Disabilities Act and religious exemptions.
The course offers the latest tips, tools and updates on new and quickly evolving LGBT legal issues since the new administration took office and the Texas Legislative 2017 session convened. This CLE aims to assist any practitioner with an LGBTQ client in spotting issues that are critical, necessary and important as this area of the law continues to change.
Sulta helps individuals and businesses throughout Texas and the U.S. with commercial litigation and appeals involving a broad range of business disputes, including employment, contract, business tort and trade secret-related claims. Sultan is past chair of the Austin LGBT Bar Association and recipient of the organization’s 2017 Award of Excellence.
The CLE, which provides seven hours of credit including one hour of ethics, is available in-person at the Texas Law Center in Austin, Texas and online via a live webcast. Those interested in participating can register here. The CLE program brochure is available here.
