Josh Whitman, Director of Athletics, University of Illinois
Prior to his current position, Josh spent nearly six years as an athletics director at two universities, during which time Whitman’s teams earned four national titles and 24 top-five team finishes, plus 34 conference championships. Josh is also a former practicing lawyer and National Football League tight end.
Steve Watson, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Loyola University
Steve was instrumental in Loyola’s men’s basketball’s run to the 2015 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) title. Steve moved into athletic administration after a successful basketball-playing career. He played two seasons at Rutgers before transferring to Bowling Green for his final two years, after which he embarked on a seven-year professional career overseas.
Laura Warren, Senior Associate General Counsel, DePaul University
Laura is the primary legal advisor to the University’s Athletics Department and provides advice and counsel on a host of athletics and NCAA-related issues and risk management. Laura also manages the University’s public policy practice assessing the development and impact of statutory and regulatory developments in higher education and advises the University regarding information privacy and data security matters.
