Ronald Barkley, M.S., J.D.
Mr. Barkley is a health care business development executive experienced in the transaction and operational transformation of integrated physician-hospital oncology service lines/cancer centers, oncology medical home, oncology accountable care organizations (ACO), and associated alternate payment initiatives in oncology. Ron is president of the Cancer Center Business Development Group and co-founder and national co-chair of the Cancer Center Business Summit, a thought leadership forum on matters of business consolidation in the oncology sector.
Michael L. Blau
Mr. Blau is a partner and health transactional lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP whose practice focuses on health care mergers, acquisitions and affiliations, and forming provider groups, networks, alliances, and joint ventures. He is co-founder of the Cancer Center Business Summit, and represents numerous oncology care stakeholders. He is Chair of the firm’s Industry Teams Department, Chair of the firm’s R&D Committee, and Chair of the Planning & Business Development Committee of the firm’s Health Care Industry Team.
Kavita K. Patel, M.D., M.S.H.S.
Dr. Patel is the managing director for clinical transformation and delivery at the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform of the Brookings Institution and served as a lead content expert and convener for the OCM background and design. Additionally, she has worked on national payment reform strategies including ACOs, bundled/episodic payments, and models, which move away from fee-for-service. She is a practicing internist and also has expertise in clinical integration models, workforce development, and health information technology.
