Managing Perceptions When Women Network with Men
Women, Influence & Power in Law Conference

Gardere Austin Office Executive Partner Kimberly A. Yelkin, chair of the Firm's Government Affairs Practice Group, is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion at the Women, Influence & Power in Law conference in Washington, D.C. Ms. Yelkin will be joined by Salley Narey of Fireman's Fund Insurance and Rob Garretson from United States Steel Corp. to discuss "Managing Perceptions When Women Network with Men" during the Thursday session, offering tips for minimizing uncomfortable scenarios.
The three-day conference, presented by Summit Professional Network, is in its second year, and this is the second time that Ms. Yelkin has been invited to participate. In 2013, Summit Professional Network's InsideCounsel magazine named Ms. Yelkin and Ms. Narey co-recipients of the "Sharing the Power" award, an award is presented jointly to a female general counsel and a female law firm partner who have collaborated to increase the economic empowerment of one or more female partners in that firm.
Gardere is also a sponsor of this year's conference and is scheduled to host a breakfast for conference attendees.
