The summit, titled Innovate to Thrive – How Chinese Companies Can Succeed in the U.S., was held on November 11, 2013 with many special guests from the U.S. and China. The goal was to allow members and guests of the China General Chamber of Commerce – USA (CGCC) an opportunity to discuss important topics related to how Chinese – based companies can be successful in doing business in the United States, with a focus on companies involved in the automotive sector.
Special guests at the meeting included Mr. Zhao Weiping, Consul General – People’s Republic of China, Chicago and Mr. Richard Huang, Secretary General of the CGCC. Also attending were representatives of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Speakers included David Wang, President – YanFeng USA and Wayne Xing from China Business Update.
The China General Chamber of Commerce – USA includes members representing more than 1,800 Chinese companies in the U.S. Its mission is to serve the overall interests of Chinese companies doing business in the U.S. and to bridge the gap between the business communities of China and the U.S. through communications and networking, thus strengthening the economic and trade ties between the two counties.
