Theodore (Teddy) Reimann is a patent agent in Foley & Lardner LLP’s Intellectual Property Department. Teddy is based in the firm’s Chicago office where he is a member of the Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practice. Teddy has experience performing freedom to operate analysis, evaluating competitive patent portfolios, and handling patent prosecution.
Teddy’s patent prosecution experience includes preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications across a variety of technology areas, such as:
- Vocational vehicles, including refuse vehicles, farming vehicles, and response vehicles
- Medical technologies, including medical devices and related software
- Financial technologies, including mobile banking and financial analysis
- Oil and Gas Instrumentation
- Consumer products including plumbing equipment
- Lighting technologies
Before working at Foley, Teddy was an engineer at TechnipFMC, a subsea oil and gas services company. This role involved designing hydraulic distribution equipment, supporting workshop operations, and leading offshore wellhead installation campaigns. He also conducted Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on structures to analyze failure criteria under potential loading conditions.
