With the Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, many members are pushing for legislation along many fronts that would reduce regulatory burdens on U.S. businesses. In January 2011, President Obama issued an executive order he touted as a major “business-friendly” move — requiring federal agencies to be more sensitive to business concerns when crafting their new regulations, and to “root out” existing rules “not worth the cost.” Similar “pro-business” regulatory initiatives are being mounted in many states, sometimes creating tension between federal and state agencies.
Please join us for our upcoming NDI Checkpoint Web conference, during which our seasoned panel will address the latest developments on these efforts — both legislative and regulatory — at the federal and state levels. Panelists include:
- Richard G. Stoll, Foley & Lardner LLP
- Paul Noe, American Forest & Paper Association

- Steven E. Chester, Foley & Lardner LLP
