Foley’s Chicago office hosted the 2009 Employment Law Update, a Foley Executive Briefing Series program examining the most notable current employment law developments. This program was designed to assist counsel and executives to understand these developments and the effect they may have on their organizations. Attendees also had an opportunity to participate in one of two breakout sessions — one that advised on compliance and business issues concerning the FMLA regulations that became effective on January 16, 2009, and the other that covered issues and strategies regarding workforce reductions.
