Foley was pleased to present “Red Flag Rules” Friday Focus Web Conference, the first part in a three part Web Conference series titled, Emerging Issues in Health Care Information Technology.
In January 2008, the “Red Flag” rules were adopted, and they present new potential compliance hurdles for health care entities. By November 1, 2008, entities covered by the Red Flag rules must enact policies related to the identification and prevention of identity theft. Additionally, many entities that may not consider themselves to be “creditors” need to consider what impact these rules will have on their business practices.
