Foley & Lardner LLP served as U.S. counsel to Mirametrix, Inc., a Montreal-based software company focused on advanced artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for computer vision applications, in an all-cash, accretive sale to Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC).
As a result of the transaction, Lattice Semiconductor stated that it intends to create an end-to-end AI and computer vision solution by combining Mirametrix’s expertise with Lattice’s hardware and software solutions.
Founded in 2011, Mirametrix works with consumer electronics and automotive companies to quickly deploy AI and computer vision technology for smarter devices and vehicles. The company has developed cutting-edge Attention Sensing technology, and its software has been successfully deployed in more than 20 million end-user systems worldwide.
The Foley deal team was led by Partner Chris Rasmussen and included Partners Belinda Morgan, John Litchfield, and James Howard.
