Foley Represents Milwaukee Brewers Owner in Minority Stake Acquisition of Norwich City FC
Foley & Lardner LLP served as primary deal counsel for chairman and principal owner of the Milwaukee Brewers, Mark Attanasio, and his investor group on their acquisition of a minority stake in English football (soccer) club Norwich City Football Club. As part of the acquisition, Attanasio has joined the club’s board of directors and will continue the focus on the strength and success of the program, having made the Milwaukee Brewers one of the most competitive baseball teams in the U.S.
Founded in 1902, Norwich City Football Club is an English professional football club based in Norwich, Norfolk. The club competes in the English Football League (EFL) Championship, the second-highest division overall in the English football league system.
Attanasio is the co-founder and managing partner of Crescent Capital Group, a Los Angeles-based asset management firm with a longstanding presence in the United Kingdom and Europe. As chairman and principal owner of Major League Baseball’s Milwaukee Brewers, Attanasio has overseen the continued growth and success of the team for seventeen years.
