Nick Welle, Jesse Byam-Katzman Named Legal All-Stars by Wisconsin Law Journal
Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Nick Welle and Associate Jesse Byam-Katzman have been selected for Wisconsin Law Journal’s Legal All-Stars awards. The awards ceremony will take place on December 8, 2022, at The Grain Exchange in Milwaukee.
In its first year, the Legal All-Stars awards celebrate outstanding legal minds across Wisconsin in multiple categories. Welle was named to the “Leaders in the Law” list, and Byam-Katzman was selected to the “Rising Young Lawyers” list.
Welle is chair of Foley’s Health Benefits Practice Group and co-chair of the firm’s Milwaukee Pro Bono Committee. He devotes his practice exclusively to issues impacting group health and welfare benefit plans, focusing on health care reform issues and consumer-driven health benefits. Welle advises his clients on matters concerning the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA privacy, COBRA, ERISA, flexible benefit plans, wellness programs, health savings accounts and other benefit issues.
Byam-Katzman is a member of Foley’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice. He advises clients in a range of complex litigation matters, including contract disputes, distribution and franchise litigation, trade secret claims and copyright actions in both state and federal court. Byam-Katzman also has experience conducting internal investigations and representing clients in connection with government investigations and enforcement actions.
