Lisa M. Jessup
Chief Financial Officer
Lisa Jessup is chief financial officer at Foley & Lardner LLP, where she oversees all aspects of the accounting function and advises on financial issues such as capital structure, partner compensation, firm mergers and lateral attorney acquisitions, and the strategic direction of the firm.
In her role as chief financial officer, Lisa also leads the firm’s annual budgeting process, evaluates and manages its financial systems, and develops financial analyses and benchmarks related to client, matter and practice group profitability, mergers and lateral acquisitions, new client intake, alternative fee arrangements, and other metrics.
Lisa has spent much of her professional career at Foley, first as manager of tax and analysis, then as manager of accounting and, most recently, as director of finance, a position she held for nearly 17 years. She was named chief financial officer of the firm in March 2019.
Prior to joining Foley, Lisa was a senior staff accountant for a Milwaukee-based insurance company. Before that, she worked as a tax accountant for a large printing and packaging company based in northern Wisconsin.
Lisa received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
