Partner Cheryl L. Wagonhurst spoke at the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s (HFMA) Southern California Chapter CFO Educational Program on November 14, 2007 in Universal City, California.
Ms. Wagonhurst presented with Eric Tuckman, Advisory Health Management Group, Eric Themm, Senior Vice President, MDS, and Allen C. Dye, MHA, Vice President of Marketing, Merritt Hawkins & Associates. Their session was titled “Business Ventures and Contracts in Healthcare.”
Participants learned from practical experience what to expect in complex business transactions, such as mergers and joint ventures. The speakers presented physician and hospital perspectives regarding hospital/physician transactions and discussed what regulatory constraints to expect, including updates for the new OIG work plan.
