Foley is proud to host a LexisNexis® Martindale-Hubbell® Counsel to Counsel Forum, Guiding Good Governance: Practical Approaches for Effective Board Management, in New York City on May 1, 2008.
This interactive roundtable will bring together senior corporate counsel from prominent corporations to participate in a discussion on best practices. In-house counsel will share ideas and examples of solution-based approaches from their diverse business experiences. Foley attorneys Elizabeth Gray, Edwin Mason, Michael Matthews and Todd Pfister will lead the discussions. Deborah Stehr, Senior Vice President — Business Affairs and Licensing & Secretary of Iconix Brand Group, Inc. will chair the forum.
“Guiding Good Governance: Practical Approaches for Effective Board Management” will cover topics such as:
- Effectively managing board communications, meetings and training
- The expanding role of general counsel as trusted adviser, informed gatekeeper and advocate of good corporate governance
- Identifying and mitigating risk
- Hot-button issues: audits, committees, investigations and disclosures
The Counsel to Counsel program is open to in-house counsel only. LexisNexis® Martindale-Hubbell® coordinates the series as a service to the legal profession to facilitate discussions on best practices in management of corporate legal departments. Participants will be eligible for up to 3.5 CLE credits.
