This program will center on new research that looks into the challenges vulnerable consumers encounter in accessing health information, and how the marketplace views and prioritizes the health information needs of those consumers.
In today’s complicated health landscape, the Medicaid managed care population is on the rise, health systems are struggling with the burden of uncompensated care, and chronic disease rates are soaring among the elderly and low-income. The need to empower vulnerable individuals with effective health information is more important than ever. For this conversation, we will convene leaders who are spearheading efforts to connect vulnerable individuals with the health information they want and need.

Health Market 2.0 — The Empowered Consumer
The 2016 Foley and Oliver Wyman web series will focus on the empowered consumer. Given that health care transformation can and must be centered around the consumer, our 2016 series will be Consumer +, bringing together the key sectors — from providers to retailers to start ups and beyond — that must address the rising demands and economic influence of consumers.
