With annual projections between $2-2.5 billion in Illinois alone, the market is buzzing with interest from retailers, property owners, and employers all wondering how the growth of the cannabis industry affects their assets.

This event was moderated by Donna Pugh, a partner in Foley’s Chicago office specializing in zoning and land use. Our panelists included Kristina Dickens of Christopoulos Law Group, who specializes in liquor and cannabis licensing in Illinois and Jamil Taylor of Viola Brands, a national minority-owned cannabis retailer, who offered thoughts on the hurdles cannabis companies face when they consider entering the Chicago market.
