Preparing and Prosecuting Patent Applications to Withstand Post-Grant Attack Webinar
Partner Courtenay Brinckerhoff will speak on a virtual panel during the Intellectual Property Owners Association’s (IPO) Virtual Annual Meeting which will take place September 21-24. The webinar is titled “Preparing and Prosecuting Patent Applications to Withstand Post-Grant Attack.”
During this session, panelists will focus on how applicants can better structure and prosecute their patents to face post-grant attack at the PTAB. They will discuss the use of patent specification during PTAB proceedings, including the background, benefits of the invention, and provide examples. Additionally, panelists will offer strategies for patent filing, prosecution, follow-on applications, and portfolio management that patent owners can employ for success at the PTAB.
Courtenay will speak alongside Commissioner Andrew Hirshfeld of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, Jeffrey Totten of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP and Todd Walters of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC.
