HCCA Orange County Regional Healthcare Compliance Conference

Foley Partner Judy Waltz, Co-Chair of the firm’s Health Care Industry Team, will be presenting at HCCA’s 2021 Orange County Regional Healthcare Compliance Conference on Friday, June 11^th at 2:15 p.m. PST. She will be presenting with Lori Laubach (Partner, Moss Adams, LLP), and their presentation is titled “False Claims Act Liability in Post-Acute Care.” They will discuss theories of FCA liability and ways to reduce associated risk, including the increase in CMP notifications; personal liability as it relates to FCA; discuss risk areas such as physician certifications, worthless, services, staffing shortages, and substandard care in relation to survey deficiencies; and, address additional FCA risks related to insufficient documentation related to PHE waivers, COVID-related reporting, and PPP/PRF reporting.
