Foley & Lardner hosted members and startup executives from Black Connect for Black Connect’s Inaugural “Business Law Day” at its New York office on May 10. In celebration and recognition of the American Bar Association’s annual Law day, Foley attorneys and Black Connect entrepreneurs participated on panels to share legal and business perspectives and experiences with attendees.
Topics included: Business Formation Considerations, Protecting your Brand/IP Issues, Cannabis, and Dispute Resolution & Litigation. Pursuant to the program, attendees enjoyed a networking reception together.

Black Connect is a group that the New York office and Racial Justice Equity Practice Group have partnered with and supported. Foley attorneys provide pro bono legal services to Black Connect members with legal needs. Black Connect is the only national 501(c)(3) membership and chapter-based organization dedicated solely to eliminating the racial wealth gap in America by increasing the number and success rate of Black-owned businesses.
