Foley Chicago Office Hosts Alumni and Retired Partners for CLE Program
Foley’s Chicago office was pleased to welcome back our alumni and retired partners for a CLE program and reception on May 17.
We kicked off the alumni event with a compelling and timely ethics CLE program addressing AI governance presented by partners Natasha Allen and Shabbi Khan from our Innovative Technology Sector. They shared their knowledge and insights on legal risks with generative artificial intelligence (GAI), lawyers’ ethical obligations regarding the use of ChatGPT, and key components of a GAI governance framework. The presentation featured a live demonstration of ways lawyers can use ChatGPT and the applicable rules for professional responsibility.
After the CLE, Chicago office managing partner Frank Pasquesi introduced special guest Joanne Molinaro, Foley of counsel and award-winning digital content creator, writer, and podcast host, who shared her experiences as a practicing attorney and as the social media influencer/personality @thekoreanvegan. This lively discussion touched on the practice of law and how to target strategic industry sectors by leveraging digital opportunities, social media marketing, and AI content. Molinaro also talked about the impact of AI on her own brand and on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.
Attendees had an opportunity to connect with former colleagues and enjoy the recently renovated office space during a networking reception that followed the formal program.
