Additions Increase Firmwide Experience in Hospitality Industry With Five Attorneys in Orlando Office.
In a move that will further expand its national resorts and hospitality practice, Foley announced today that Bill Guthrie, Dan Bachrach, Richard Caron, Kristina Bellock and Matthew Jassak will join the firm’s national Hospitality, Resort & Golf Industry Team. They will be located in the firm’s Orlando office. Guthrie and Bachrach join the firm as partners. Caron is a senior counsel and Bellock and Jassak join as associates, all from Baker Hostetler.
Bringing experience from across the country, Guthrie and Bachrach will focus on the development, structuring, and financing of timeshares, fractionals, clubs, mixed use developments, condominiums, as well as planned unit projects.
“We believe that Foley offered us a strong platform to service our clients on a national and international basis,” said Guthrie. “Foley already maintained an excellent golf, resort, and real estate practice which complements our experience in the hospitality and timeshare industries advising developers, hotel brands, lenders, managers, and exchange companies. The firm is aggressive and intends to grow our combined practices in a method that will provide excellent service to our clients and expand the reach of our practice.”
“Attracting attorneys of this caliber in the vacation ownership, hotel and resort industry has been a strategic priority of the firm for quite some time,” said Fred Ridley, co-chair of Foley’s Hospitality, Resort & Golf Industry Team. “This group will strengthen our industry team while solidifying Foley as one of the top resort, hospitality and golf firms in the country.”
“The quality and experience that these attorneys add to our team will help us continue to advance in specific areas of the hospitality industry, including timeshare developments, residence clubs and resorts,” said Michael Gay, managing partner of the Orlando office.
