Foley Partners With Tampa Bay WaVE to Support Local Technology Start-Up Community
Foley and Tampa Bay WaVE, a nonprofit that helps entrepreneurs turn ideas into growing technology ventures, have announced a partnership in which Foley will support Tampa Bay WaVE’s mission by providing various legal services to the organization and its clients.
“Foley has been crucial to our launch and success. The firm has been by our side every step of the way,” said Linda Olson, board president and executive director of Tampa Bay WaVE. “In addition, Foley’s attorneys have spent innumerable hours supporting, educating and advising our clients.”
Foley is providing legal services in connection with the establishment and operation of the FirstWaVE Venture Center in downtown Tampa and the creation of a new accelerator program at the Venture Center. Foley also assists WaVE accelerator clients with ongoing education and no-cost or reduced-cost legal services regarding legal issues faced by start-up and early-stage companies.
“Foley is pleased to partner with Tampa Bay WaVE and to provide the advice and assistance of our attorneys for them and their start-up clients,” said Randy Wolfe, managing partner of Foley’s Tampa office. “Foley’s support of Tampa Bay WaVE is another example of the firm’s commitment to partnering with start-up and emerging companies across the country, including Catapult Chicago and MassChallenge in Boston.”
