Gardere, Arena y Asociados Recognized in 2014 Chambers Latin America Directory
Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP is pleased to announce that the Firm's Mexico City office, Gardere, Arena y Asociados S.C., is recognized as one of the leading law firms in the Latin American market by Chambers Latin America 2014.
The guide highlights four of the Firm's practice areas: Competition/Antitrust, Insurance, Real Estate and Tax. According to the publication, Gardere is the "go-to firm" for tax representation, describing the Firm as a "leading cross-border tax firm with some of the most recognized tax experts."
Partners Roberto Arena and Fernando Camarena lead the Mexico City tax practice, and both received individual recognition by Chambers in this area. In addition to this recognition, Gardere, Arena y Asociados was recognized earlier this year for its tax practice by both The Legal 500 Latin America and Tax Directors Handbook.
Additionally, Associate Marco Nájera received individual recognition for his work in the areas of Competition/Antitrust and Insurance law.
"As a result of the opening of our Mexico City office in 1992 and the creation of our Latin American network in 1998, we are proud to be a full-service, cross-border law firm with an exceptional Latin America practice," says Gardere Partner Charles E. Meacham, who heads up the Firm's Latin American practice. "Our Mexico City office is consistently recognized for its tax, corporate, real estate and insurance practice areas. Roberto, Fernando, Marco and each of our colleagues in this office are deserving of this recognition."
Chambers Latin America is published annually by London-based Chambers & Partners, a leading publisher of legal directories. Firms and attorneys are selected based on interviews with thousands of clients, attorneys and third-party experts.
