The Dallas Morning News covered Gardere's planned move from Thanksgiving Tower to Crescent Real Estate's Uptown high-rise in 2016. "We've been in Thanksgiving Tower since 1989 – it's been a good 25 years," Gardere Chair Holland N. O'Neil said. "It was a difficult decision for us to make, but we are excited about the move."
According to Partner Kevin L. Kelley, the Firm only had a handful of options for its new location. "Our real estate brokers told us in advance our options would be fairly limited," Mr. Kelley said. "Our competitors are moving out of this area and either moving along Ross Avenue or to Uptown. The location for the new building is fantastic."
Lease negotiations were spearheaded by Mr. Kelley, head of Gardere's Real Estate Practice Group and chair of the Firm's Space Planning Committee.
