Foley Associate David Zoppo has co-authored a book called “A Smarter, Greener Grid” that discusses environmental and cost benefits that a modernized electrical grid can have on the United States. The book outlines how new digital technologies, equipment and controls can provide greater efficiencies regarding the distribution and use of energy. It also looks at some of the legal and regulatory policy hurdles that must be overcome to fully realize the smart grid’s benefits.
The book was co-authored by Kevin B. Jones, deputy director and senior fellow for energy technology and policy at the Institute for Energy and the Environment at Vermont Law School.
