Foley & Lardner LLP has been retained by LRAD Corporation to consult on the development of marketing, strategic planning and business development strategies for growing LRAD’s domestic mass notification business. Foley will provide counsel related to the One Voice™ systems, which combine mass notification with public address to safely provide superior voice broadcasts over localized and large areas.
According to Tom Brown, President and CEO of LRAD Corporation, “Siren-based mass notification systems have critical gaps in coverage, particularly the absence of highly intelligible voice messaging and continuous broadcast longevity to provide lifesaving notifications and instructions throughout emergencies and crises. LRAD’s optimized driver and waveguide technology ensures every broadcast cuts through wind, engine and background noise, and is clearly heard and understood, even inside buildings and vehicles.”
Karen Bowling, Foley’s Director of Public Affairs, will act as the liaison between the companies. “There is growing demand for clear voice systems that warn, inform and instruct municipalities, populations and large crowds throughout natural or man-made emergencies, and during large public events. We look forward to introducing LRAD’s state-of-the-art mass notification systems to municipalities, universities, stadium facilities and other outdoors venues,” said Bowling.
