Houstonia Recognizes Gardere Partner Rachel Steely in Its 2017 Top Lawyers Issue

Gardere partner Rachel Powitzky Steely, co-chair of the firm’s labor and employment practice group, has been selected to Houstonia magazine’s annual list of top lawyers for 2017, which features a variety of Houston-area attorneys across multiple industries and practice areas. 

Steely is recognized as one of the foremost female trial lawyers in Texas specializing in employment law. She was selected as one of the state’s top 20 female litigators by Texas Lawyer and is the only labor and employment attorney to receive the honor. Most recently, Steely was named to the Houston Business Journal's 2017 Women Who Mean Business list and was a finalist for the Outstanding Business Leader in Professional Services category. Steely is board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. 

Houstonia’s annual Top Lawyers list is compiled by DataJoe Research, which facilitated the peer-voting process. DataJoe then provided the editors at Houstonia the tallied votes for final review and adjustments.
